Kathy is CEO and co-founder of The Lattitude Group, a business strategy and development firm that is dedicated to helping business leaders get results. Prior to launching The Lattitude Group, Kathy spent 24 years with Fortune 500 companies where she was known for her strong interpersonal skills and ability to build consensus among groups in order to handle complex business challenges. She has created and led teams that excelled in strategic thinking, business planning, communications, culture change, transition management and personal leadership. She led groups responsible for finance, quality, strategic planning, human resources, public relations, facilities engineering, administration, information systems and materials management.
As an executive at General Dynamics, Kathy led teams that developed a support infrastructure for a newlyformed wholly-owned subsidiary. She created successful partnerships between support organizations she led and other departments. These strategic alliances helped the business double its revenues and nearly double profits in a four-year period. Kathy was part of the four-person executive team that handled mergers and acquisitions for the Advanced Technology Systems sector of the business.
She has first-hand experience in the strategic, operational and financial aspects of running a business.
Kathy holds B.A. degrees in Accounting and Business Administration from Elon University and an MBA from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro.
She is strongly committed to community involvement. Kathy has served on United Way allocations boards and is a past member of the Piedmont Chapter Board of Directors for the National Conference of Community and Justice. Kathy is a recipient of the Triad Business Journal’s Woman in Business Award for outstanding accomplishments and leadership. She is a former member of the Bryan School of Business and Economics Business Advisory Board of the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. Kathy has also held numerous leadership positions in the Moravian Church in North America, concerning the financial and personnel management of the organization. Kathy is a member, inaugural secretary and founder of the Workforce Unlimited Advisory Board. She is a sponsor and board member for The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society and Treasurer of the Field Crest Homeowners’ Association.
